I am a San Francisco based software engineer, architect and engineering leader with over 10 years experience building software, scaling systems & implementing process for early stage startups. I have started a few on my own having released multiple mobile apps and consulted with others in the pre Series A phase.
I am looking for folks with great ideas looking to develop them or to help mature/scale existing products.
Message, email, etc if interested.
Cheers
I'd love to talk about a hosting product I'm working on. Think vercel/netlify, but for backend.
@nullfox ping me on twitter.
I'm wanting to tackle bias and misinformation in the media (initially in the UK) by giving domain experts a platform. Here they peer review the news and post a rebuttal for people to engage and discuss in a safe space. I'm product design so lack the engineering expertise, but I have the idea and the will if it's something that may interest you. I have a disastrous Kickstarter for it ending soon, but I'm going to pick up the pieces and try again with a more modest MVP.
Cool!! Here is my idea.
So many people know how to code, but does everyone publish their website on the internet. No, because not everyone understands the complexity of hosting a website and maintaining the servers. Even with giants like AWS, Google, Heroku, the problem persists that you have to learn devops to be able to take your site to production.
If you have a HTML/Javascript site, cool, its easy. There are hundreds of sites that can help you. Heck! you can just host your site over dropbox if you wanted to :D
But the main problem comes when you start to have a backend, a database, and more. Now you got to configure logs, read metrics, scale stuff, worry about security, you get the idea. Now your options to host are very limited, and they still require you to learn a ton of stuff.
I believe hosting can be made simple for everyone. So I made a platform where I bring the infrastructure, and you bring the code. That simply means my platform can take your code and figure out how best to host it, maintain it, and keep it running without any user intervention.
This is especially useful for young developers, or people who just don't want to maintain their infrastructure, or don't want to learn devops.
You can learn more about it here: https://plugins.quadnix.com/docs/introduction.html
There are video links demonstrating an early version. If you wish, we can talk more at length about this.
Hello Ben
Im a senior software developer and Im working in a big opensource blockchain project/network. Currently I'm alone and always try to find a partner that can help me launch it, sincerelly Im only a fullstack/devops and I have lots of handycaps like communication, writting, marketing, launching and other stuff that a developer cant do.
If you like you can reach me at my mail, and we can chat a little, I can explain what is all about
Thanks

Hello Ben, I have an interesting idea and I've had this for 2 years now.
I can't execute it since I'm tied up with my self-funded startup along with my finances. Two good things though, I have the business model canvass worked out and just recently when I started talking about this to key influential people in my place they were really interested and have expressed strong commitment to support it both local and national (will disclose who these persons are later).
And due to the pandemic the more these folks became interested and looking forward for this. Same with the niche market and communities that will greatly benefit from this.
This is nothing new though there are existing business models and competitors in this niche but the features and solution is far from what I have in mind. I saw one online, its a UK startup and their process and features isn't that great. I really believe mine is better and I'd be happy to know what you think. See if this is something you'd be interested in?
I look forward to hearing from you. Thanks and stay safe!
