Viable alternative to Mercury for banking
For some reason, Mercury wouldn't accept my application - initial review took 4 months. I feel exhausted already.
Can anyone suggest an alternative to Mercury.com? An alternative that would work fine for non-US residents.
I hope you've long since resolved this, but if it is still an issue you can ask them to review your application. A common basis for rejection is that the applicant doesn't have US Customers. Being an owner of a US company does not alone qualify you for an account, you must also have - or will have in the very near future pursuant to a specific launch plan- US customers.
There are also US embargos that prohibit Mercury from accepting applications from citizens of certain countries subject to them. There's no way around this; it's based on citizenship, not residency, and you have to show your passport as proof of ID.
Where are you incorporated?
Wise.com may be an option. It s a fintech, not a real bank, but it could do the job.
