I'm Musharraf, solo indie hacker from India, and after 4 months of non-stop building (late nights with @grok for motivation 😂), I just launched Vibe – my take on a FREE AI coding suite to kill paid tools like Copilot.

The Stack:

• Vibe CLI: Terminal agent for code gen, debug, refactor, git flows. Ex: vibe agent "Next.js blog with auth" → Instant project scaffold!
• Vibe Code: VS Code extension with 6 modes (Architect/Code/Debug/Ask/Orchestrator/Project-Research) in a clean sidebar dropdown.

Key Wins:

• 100% Free: OpenRouter free tier (no login, anonymous API key)
• Beast Mode: Add Mega LLM key for Claude/GPT-4o/Gemini – dual providers!
• Privacy Obsessed: Zero telemetry, MIT open source
• v2.1.5 live: 500+ npm downloads + 300+ VS Code installs in launch hour

Metrics so far (post-Twitter/PH blast):

• Revenue: $0 (and proud – free forever!)
• Users: 800+ combined
• Feedback: "Faster PRs without leaving terminal" – Lena Ortiz

Challenges: Balancing free models' limits with pro power; fixed with Mega LLM toggle.
