First post here. I work overnights and spend my free time learning software engineering with AI tools. Pure self-taught, building by experimenting and iterating with AI tools rather than following traditional paths.
The problem: There’s nowhere for new devs like me to showcase work and connect with others who build this way. Traditional dev communities don’t really get the “vibecoding” approach - using AI as a coding partner, shipping fast, learning by doing.
What I built: VibeCoders - a community app with three core features:
• Start discussions about AI-powered development
• Share methods, code snippets, and prompts that work
• Post projects you’re building/have built
Why this matters: There’s a whole generation of builders emerging who don’t follow conventional dev education paths. We’re solving real problems and shipping products, just with different tools and mindsets. We need our own space to share knowledge and get feedback.
I built this because it’s something I genuinely wanted. Been testing with a small group - the response has been solid. Launching publicly next week.
Who’s this for: Self-taught devs using AI tools, people building by vibe and iteration, anyone who wants to showcase work without the traditional CS background gatekeeping.
Looking to connect with other builders taking similar paths. Drop a comment if you’re interested in checking it out.
TL;DR: Built a community app for AI-powered self-taught developers. Launching next week. It’s for people who build by vibe, not textbook.
