[VIDEO] Recap of first week building in public
I was inspired by other discussions here on IH and on Twitter to start building in public. I'm going to be posting weekly about my progress with uptimeline, my uptime monitoring service.

Nice, respect for going the video path as well! I really like that one but it's so much more work (at least i found it that way when I tried a year ago).. What's your take on the effort/benefit ratio of making the videos?

Thank you Ludwig! That's why I'm not editing the videos at all.
Right now I'm thinking about writing the blog article first and then using it as a "script" for the video, and target a length of 5 minutes for the video. So that in the end it should take me no more than 15 more minutes to make the video than if I just made the blog article.
I don't know about the benefit of making the videos yet, but it seems like a more personal kind of interaction than Twitter. I'll have to go there and see!

Nice Video! May I ask how you get traffic to your site? I have seen you had something around 1.3k visitors... Are there certain communities besides IH, Twitter, Youtube where you Post? I struggle with generating traffic, but also not quite there yet...

What are you building?
I am builduing an AiOnePager to automate skills Management.
Upload docs (pdf) you work on (reports, papers etc...) and automatically generate a skills dashboard.
I would love to make it b2b so employees can collaborate better in times of flexible remote working models.
However it does not get traction... I think I must improve on landing page and I am still not quite meeting the needs of the target group. I would love to hear your feedback, but cannot share links yet. (Link with whitespace: aionepager . schroter .eu)

My honest opinion is that you should not be shy about what you have, even if it's very little. Right now I wish I had started much earlier to build in public.
