Virtual group-work sessions?

Hi IHers,

Does anyone know of any virtual group-work sessions? Basically, just jump on Zoom or Meet and everyone just quietly gets on with their own work. Minimal chatter. I've done it with colleagues in previous remote companies I've worked at and it helps to feel like you're not working in isolation.

I'd be happy to arrange a session if anyone's interested. Just drop a comment or message me on Discord (ayeap#8832).

I've tried Flow Club and I like it. Another alternative which I haven't done, but also looks good is Focusmate. Flow Club is a group call that has a moderator, while Focusmate looks like one on one.

Thank you, Ako! Those two are great suggestions and seems like what I'm after. I've signed up to both to try them out. Very grateful!

Hey there! Not exactly virtual group-work sessions but we're are running some accountability groups at https://dip.chat and helps you feel like you're not working in isolation.

If that's of interest to you, happy to chat more!

(Sidenote: someone else did suggest group-work or coworking sessions so that might be something we explore down the road)

Hi Joe, I'll keep dip.chat in mind. The seat price and penalty is a bit stricter than what I'm looking for but it's an interesting concept nonetheless.

I'm hoping for something a bit more casual, meet other Indie Hackers, while also being productive.

Good luck on your dip.chat journey!

        Thanks for the feedback!

I'm sure you've seen, but might be worth posting this or a similar message on an active group like "Build in Public".

Thank you and good luck to you on your journey too!
