Hello Fellow Indie Hackers! π
Voxhub is an audio-based social platform enabling everyone to engage in voice conversations on the go. Our mission is to empower creators, brands, and their audience with a voice-based storytelling platform and enable them to foster organic connections with their audience.
We have created the landing page, and would really appreciate some feedback on it. Since we are in the early stage of development, we didn't attach product images or features (but will soon).
Suggestions are welcome. π
This is a very minimalistic landing page - I don't think it works unless you already have an audience of people who are after your type of product:
Hello, Orlie! Yeah, the infinite loop animation was pretty annoying, we have fixed it. Since this is the first iteration of the landing page, things are very basic. We are currently building the other sections of the landing page, to explain the benefits and features in detail. Thanks a lot for your suggestions! We will keep them in mind. :)
Why do people need this when all the major social media platforms are creating their own audio only rooms?
Thank you so much for asking, Prateek! Voxhub is less room-based and more like micro-podcasting meets Instagram. Patreon's central aim is to let creators monetize their content. The subscribers come to the platform with the aim to support a particular creator. Whereas, Voxhub lets users discover other's audio content and at the same time letting them post their own audio clips. You really don't have to be a "creator" type to post on Voxhub, it could be you talking about your dog, or better, your dog talking into your mic. You can monetize your content, or you may not, it's entirely up to you.
Very interesting. That said, where will their audio content be posted? Who is the ICP?
Their audio content will be posted on Voxhub, where other users will be able to discover the content, listen to them, and share their own.
Okay, can you have them post this audio content on other platforms? This way, you won't have to spend marketing your site with the content, rather just market your site to the creators.
Yes, that's the plan! At least initially, we plan to encourage users to share their 'vox' to other platforms, to bring in more users. Ultimately, this is going to be a consumer app; the more users we can acquire, the richer our community will be.
Awesome, good luck!
Thanks a lot! :)

Hello David! Thank you so much for such detailed feedback! We realized that the constantly waving hand is a bit too distracting, so decided to drop it. Yac is, as you already said, more focused on team communication, whereas, Voxhuub aims to let users express their views/opinions/anything through their voice (voice clippings, or as we call them, vox), with the Voxhub community (public) or with their connections (private). Also, thanks a lot for pointing out that the one-sentence pitch doesn't describe what Voxhub really is, and how it is different from existing tools in the market. So, we will be working on the copy to come up with something better.
