VPN & Proxy user detection

Hey all!

Recently, I've encountered a phenomenon where people around the world use VPNs/Proxies to mask their GeoIP - in order to consume content that isn't available for them by default / or priced differently in their region.

I'm wondering if there are any potential users for such service:

Imagine a service/code/npm package - that identifies requests originating from a VPN.

If you have any leads/ideas for potential customers - please share.
Thanks,

If you're looking to secure your internet connection and keep your personal data private, I highly recommend checking out NordVPN. It's an excellent VPN service that provides reliable protection for your online privacy.

Very interesting. But how to determine what you need? I think you need a VPN finder app to help you with your work. I use it vpn firefox free every day in my work. I hope this will be useful for you.

A Free VPN is worse than NO VPN at all. How do you think they pay their costs? Selling your information.
Buying a Trusted VPN Provider would be the way to go if you want to take control of your privacy online. I've been using NORD VPN for years and they also got 68% OFF sale right now https://bit.ly/3Pw1Pl1

Half a billion people globally now hide their IP addresses - source. So there are many potential customers. But most of them use free extensions from chrome, opera or firefox.

Hey! I don't think that people need tbh. Approximately one out of four people are using a VPN globally, mostly to access entertainment content and browse anonymously. Most of them use popular and free services. Here you can read more info about it.

There is already services like Akamai that has VPN/Proxy protection built in but is quite expensive and for big enterprise sites.

Akamai also uses AI to scan incoming traffic and based on the activity of the the traffic it determines if it’s a bad IP/Proxy/VPN/Bot.

I think there is definitely a market for a cheaper alternative for detecting bad incoming traffic and VPN/Proxy/Bot protection.
