Waitlist and Referral Widget/providers

Hi Folks, wanted to ask for your advice. We are hoping to build a waitlist or waitlist plus referral widget/form into our custom website. Can anyone recommend a good provider for this service? Most of the options we have looked at have mixed feedback. Has any hacked or created their own solution for this?
