Want some free press?

Hello hackers,

I recently posted on this group announcing that I was working on Indie Testers. If you haven't read it feel free to check it out! -> https://www.indiehackers.com/post/indie-testers-392ff057fb

I'm planning to send out a newsletter tomorrow to anyone who signed up for the waitlist. I'm looking for any products that are in public beta to include in the newsletter!

If you have a product you would like me to include leave a comment down below and I'll try my best :)

I'm in the process of building the MVP, but I hope to provide some value before it's ready.

... oh and if you haven't signed up ... you still can! -> https://indietesters.com

EDIT

Thanks so much for all your responses I sent out the first newsletter yesterday! I tried to feature everyone but I’ll be definitely doing this again plus more in depth show cases of products on Twitter. So DM me!

    Hey Archie!

Bolt is currently in a public beta - we were in a closed beta for quite a while and now I feel like Bolt is in a good place to go public.

There's a 100% free plan for anyone to try out (no card required), so might be a good fit?

    Thank you!

    1. 2

Hey Pip - congrats on Bolt it's definitely come up on my radar before! I've been meaning to try it out as well.

Great to see that you are having success with it as well :)

It will be added to the first issue - make sure to subscribe!

      1. 2

Grand, thank you Archie! I've subscribed :)

      What's the difference to pastel?
I came across a few of url based web feedback solutions.

Would like to understand why there are so many?

      1. 1

Biggest difference for me would be UX/UI (very different) and our visions for how to solve the problem.

There are many solutions to every problem - you could say this about every product.

If there are multiple competitors, there also exists market opportunity

    Hi Archie,

We made a new online image watermarking tool https://WatermarkHere.com we love to see your feedback and review on this.

    Thank you.

    1. 1

Hey Kishore, happy to add it :)

  3. 2

Thanks :) How many subs do you have?

    1. 1

We just hit 60 signups for the waitlist! Hoping to grow the community as much as possible before release :)

Hey 👋 , looks great love the demo video - makes it much quicker to understand why I’d want it.

      I’ll add it :)

      1. 2

Glad you liked the video 🤠

Love the idea of indietesters.com. Would be a helpful for indiehackers out here.

  5. 2

Great idea, signed up for the waitlist.
https://useneatly.com is more or less public beta (still MVP, but getting a big upgrade next week).

    1. 1

      Awesome, have added it :)

  6. 2

Just followed one Link to another! I was so excited to see what comes next.

Sadly, paperless.io is not in the public beta so far. Hopefully the next time!

    1. 2

Haha glad you're enjoying the Indie Testers journey!

paperless.io looks like a really powerful tool, nice job :)

Hopefully I can include it next time - or maybe have you on the platform when it's ready!

      1. 2

        Thanks, that would be great!

Hey we have a product that we still consider in "beta": https://www.everypagehq.com. It's a landing page builder that is designed for developers to not have to dive deep into code, they get to use what they know to create a json file that is easy to read and write and can be used to create a landing page. It's got a super generous free tier (and even open source: https://github.com/kibalabs/everypage) and we basically help everyone that comes on board build their pages so early adopters get loads of love 🤩

    1. 2

Also, indietesters is a wonderful idea, signed up :)

      1. 2

Hey Krishan, everypage looks great - nice job!

I like JSON as a programmer so I'm sure it will not only appeal to no-coders out there + the examples are impressive!

        I'll add it in :)

... and thanks for signing up!

        1. 2

          Awesome, thanks Archie 🙌

Hey, thanks for showing me Linkish - cool product!

      I'm happy to include it.

The site looks really good, I'm interested whether you could embed your bookmarks board on a website. For example, If I had my own blog I think it would be cool if I could embed my Linkish board with some links to show people.

      Hope it's going well :)

      1. 2

The embedded board is something that we have in our roadmap and we are working towards it. We want to build tools that will help bloggers take their websites to the next level. Till then you can sign up and see what else we have to offer.

And yes, it is going great. So far our 500 users have saved over 160k links.

    Hi Archie,

I'd love to get Minecraft Playdates included. Not sure what details you need in the newsletter, feel free to crib the following:

TL;DR: I'm offering Minecraft Playdates subscriptions for 50% off for 1 year for IndieTesters (this is +6 months from our current offer!) Message me for the discount code.

What is Minecraft Playdates? We are a Minecraft server hosting service, just launched in January, designed for parents to manage multiplayer Minecraft playdates for their kids and their friends without knowing anything about server hosting.

Additionally, if you're a parent of a Minecrafter and open to trading 30 minutes of your time in exchange for a discount or gift card: We're running a user study, looking for 20 parents to sign up, give it a try with your kids and their friends, and provide feedback in a 30 minute long conversation. If you're chosen you get a free server for 1 week, and upon completion of the study you receive either 75% off for the lifetime your subscription) or a $25 Amazon gift card. Sign up here

Hey Tad, thanks for the great info!

Minecraft Playdates looks like a great product :) I'll definitely add it to the newsletter so will send you a message on Twitter.

I'm not a parent but I'm happy to share that link to sign up for the study as well.

Keep it up - from a fellow Gopher!

can't seem to send you a message actually - can you send me a dm? @archiethedev - if not I've sent you an email

Hey, it will definitely be a good fit for next week if that's alright? Or whenever it's public.

I'm trying to only share stuff that people can use straight away. Hope that's okay!

      1. 1

Sure thing! Glad to be considered for next week :)

And your only 13 .. what?!

For this first issue, I'm planning on a products section just for those that people can try out but I'd be very happy to include it whenever it's ready!

      Hey Laurentiu,

Thanks for suggesting HandleDroid, would you be able to offer some promo codes?

The whole idea around indie testers is that people can get access to each other's products for a discount (or free) and then creators get some awesome feedback.

If you can offer something like that then I would be happy to add you in!
