Want to Earn Natural Backlink? Ignore Keyword Search Volume Obsessed Approach for Once

Being a Digital Marketing Niche blogger I write a ton of content around Digital Marketing Niche, especially around "Search Engine Optimization" since that's my 24/7 job.

The keyword search volume-focused approach helped me drive a great deal of organic traffic to my blog which helped me earn organic visitors who became the subscribers of my blog and even direct visitors.

But a little while ago, I just felt like giving out an amazing tip on Internal Linking Strategy to the community; at first, it occurred to me that this very blog post cannot have an angle of ranking for organic keywords on the SERP and drive me the organic traffic.

But did that stop me, No!

I anyways pursued the idea, I wrote the article on "Improve Your Internal Linking With Google Search Console in 3 Steps"

Am I implying that the article did great organically anyways? No!

Then how did it help?

This article was aimed towards adding value and as a result, this article went on to getting featured on Search Engine Roundtable

And did I mention that I also promoted this piece on LinkedIn? LinkedIn got me good traffic.

What does the referral traffic look like?

This piece has attracted 85 unique visitors via referral traffic, 70 visitors it roped in from LinkedIn alone.

I mean I get it this isn't a HUGE case study, but it taught me a valuable lesson of creating valuable content and detaching myself from keyword-focused approach for every once in a while.😃
