Want to find out how you get user feedback and prioritise ideas

Hello fellow Indie Hackers, wanted to know how do you collet user feedback and prioritise your feature ideas. Could you help me out filling this short survey please?

    Trello man! Always Trello :)

You can get a power-up that allows users to upvote cards.

Thanks, do you make your Trello board with ideas public so your users can vote on it? (Like Trello does it?)

      1. 2

I do indeed. Everyone can see everything I have planned and vote accordingly :)

Very cool and looks like you have a lot of feedback, would you mind sharing your process to prioritise it?

            Thanks! :)

            Yeah, absolutely!

            1. Send users the Trello board URL / allow them to discover it via the homepage / tool feedback link posted somewhere in the tool.
            2. Users see existing feedback / send me more feedback via email / Twitter / chat etc.
            3. I add their feedback to the Trello board.
            4. Users upvote the features/bug fixes/upgrades they want implemented the most!

I was considering this approach as well but I’m concerned users either won’t have a Trello Account to vote or won’t want to spend time logging in. Have you noticed that at all?

              1. 2

Some users don't bother that's true. However, the really passionate users log in and leave you feedback. And they are the users you want to concentrate on.

Have a look at this card in particular (over 150 comments):

That is a great point, users that are vocal they truly care about the product and see value of it. Have you heard abut the superhuman survey? Where they asked users how disappointed they will be if they had to stop using the product and focused only on the ones that answered "very disappointed"

                  1. 2

                    I did indeed.
I love the idea behind that survey. It's definitely something I will be doing for DarwinMail in the near future :)
Such a clever way to engage users and also find out what they really love about the product.

                2. 2

                  Good to see, thanks!

SO you collect feedback from different sources and triage everything on to Trello? Do you collect them by themes or by problems each idea solves?

              1. 1

I do indeed. It's mostly divided up by feature, update or bug :)

                1. 2

Cool, it is a good system I admit and I agree with the principle, sometimes user feedback feels one sided (when the product needs something from the user we reach out) and not organic.

I just launched a service for that: https://getacute.io

I also completed your survey. Good luck!

Thanks! Your product looks amazing I'll start following it and sign up for a trial. Good luck!

I see that you've just launched your first product. I'd be more than happy to give you an extended trial of 3 months or so to help you out.

Also, feel free to shoot me a DM or email if there is anything I can help you with. 🙂

Thanks really appreciate it! I don't have enough traction on my product yet. I would like to know more about your launches. You already launched in product hunt, I would like to know more about that process.
