Hi, I'm Phil and I'm working on a new project to help you grow your OSS product.
I was faced with a problem as a product manager working on open source projects. I needed to get direct feedback from users to better understand their workflows, and hopefully find problems they were having in adjacent areas. Despite working on some fairly popular projects, it was hard to find the users I needed to reach. Most users were just doing "drive-by's" on my repo, giving reactions to the issues they cared about, but never commenting and never opening issues themselves.
I knew these were the users I needed to reach, so I developed a tool to analyse my repos and discover the best users to contact. Armed with this new tool I was able to discover thousands of users I wasn't able to see before. I reached out to them and the feedback was amazing! I discovered undeserved areas that I had no idea even existed, and I was able to use that information to take my products in to new and meaningful areas.
