Almost everyone I see building on OpenAI's APIs are building tools that solve their own problems.
Makes sense! Thing is, a lot of these people are similar; they're all builders. Similar people = similar problems.
Want to make some serious $ building something quick with AI? Try solving problems for users that are outside of the Indiehacker community.
There are a lot of problems out there that need solving!

It doesn't guarantee making money. There should be a 3rd circle "people that are willing to pay for a solution".
Nothing guarantees making money. I'm simply suggesting that there is a portion of the market that is being underserved.
Thanks for sharing! Customer research is definitely important. For my own AI tool Evoke, the main target market has been people building the AI tools themselves and don't want to manage cloud hosting.

You should be baking that into your pricing structure though so it shouldn't be an issue
