Hey, following my journey regarding my product LINQ Me Up, I've been adding some interesting things.
Because, while the conversion is still slow (subscriptions are coming and going each month), the number of developers registering is steady and all the traffic should be worth something too.
Instead of focussing on SQL to LINQ and vice versa, I've increased the value by adding functionality that lets .NET devs past in JSON/POCO classes/XML/.. and ask for the query they want. LINQ Me Up does just that: and spits out the desired LINQ query code to save the developer time fiddling on that.
I've added a useful resources carousel above the main functionality, showing links to relevant articles (that I or others have written), and interesting books (along with affiliated links).
Furthermore, I've added an ads management interface that allows me to add subtle HTML/image ads.
Then read on, as I know that many people on IH are working on their side project as makers alongside a regular job, I'm guessing there are also many people coding with C#, .NET etc.
Maybe you, your colleague, your boss (co-founder/...) is interested in reaching out to .NET developers around the globe?
Let me know and hook up with me via this link (or here) as I've made 2 ad spots available in LINQ ME Up, with over 1300+ registered accounts and weekly new registration around 100 average now.
I was wondering if you - when conversion on subs is low - had any experience with things like affiliated products, content or advertising worked out.
Any feedback, thumbs up or just a like is appreciated :)
