Wanted to grow my Twitter, but found an engagement helper 🙌

After my first product launch in 2021, and with mixed results, I noticed that the MAIN thing I really miss, is 👉 reach.
I have 1.3k followers on there, so nothing "special", but out of those 1.3 I guess a few hundred AT BEST are active or people I interact with on a monthly basis. So, it came as a real shock to me that after I launched the app, I had a handful of downloads 😬 (5)
Then I started analyzing other indies/makers and saw that there is no 1:1 correlation with a number of follows and engagement. Again, to me this was a surprise! 😅
The only thing that would make sense then is building a MEANINGFUL following and engaged users.
So when I took a step back, I realized that I cannot GROW my follows if I don't engage with the people I follow at all. I literally switched from trying to gain followers to trying to build my relationship with current people I follow 😂
After going over my feed and actually reading my tweets I realised how much all-over the place I was. Various tweets about...anything really, with no real value. And in the sea of all those tweets not only that I would not consider following myself, but not sure I would notice them at all.
So, from this week I plan to tweet a lot LESS, but with higher quality and to interact with people a lot MORE instead of tweeting myself.
I found this tool which was launched just recently but even tho its mainly focused on growing your audience, I am only interested in the "Enagage" section of it 😅
It literally filters your closest group of people to which you can reply to, as if a regular chat app! (attached preview)
Are there some other tools out there you would recommend?
Or any advice on how to keep my Twitter a bit more professional?
I don't want to jump back into "check out this cool movie I saw" if the majority of the people I interact with are there for the indie journey story :)
