How Compass AI Works

Tool-Specific Mode
Select one of your listed tools and Compass automatically pulls its full data (description, category, metrics, etc.) to deliver hyper-relevant advice on audits, competitors, growth, or anything else.

General Advisor Mode
No tool listed? No problem. Compass still acts as a knowledgeable indie AI advisor for broad questions about building and launching products.

Credit System
Start with 5 free credits every 24 hours. Messages cost 1–5 credits depending on depth (simple questions use fewer; full audits use more). Earn extra credits by listing tools, getting upvotes, posting in the Builders Network, and staying active on IndieAIs.

Founder Memory
Enabled by default, this keeps context across conversations. You can toggle it in the settings drawer if needed.

Current Limitations & Quick Actions

Compass AI is in beta, so some capabilities are still advisory:

Cannot Edit Your Listing Directly — Compass drafts improved descriptions, tags, or titles, but you apply changes yourself using the quick-action button.

Responses May Vary in Quality — Very niche or complex questions might need follow-ups for maximum specificity.
