We are now the most popular upcoming tech on Kickstarter
This morning we hit 500+ followers and we are now the most popular project in Kickstarter's upcoming technology section. We couldn't be more thrilled, humbled, and grateful! The campaign officially starts Jan 4.
We are a small team of just 7 full timers, none of us with any coding experience. We hired an outside agency (Krit) to help us build the product. The ideas are coming from us, but Krit is doing all of the coding.
Here's what we did:
- We have been building in public by sharing videos of the work as it comes over from our dev team
- Live videos on Facebook (our largest social audience) showing off the features
- Live videos on Instagram (our 2nd largest audience) with people who are creatives and planning enthusiasts
- Emailing our audience and asking them to follow the campaign on Kickstarter before it goes live
An unfair advantage we have: the app is based on our Momentum Planner, a 10 year old pdf product with over 1M downloads. We have an email list of over 35k.

Thanks. I'm pretty stoked about it - but everyone else on the team is on vacation, so they don't know yet. ;)
You'll have 7 people full-time on the payroll of which nobody knows how to code? That doesn't sound good.. You'll never make enough money to fund your salaries. Unless you plan on raising a huge seed round.
We sell a few other products. This is an expansion of our existing business.
