You can actually do this for $0. A client of mine was about to launch a new app, Apple offered them to be featured at the top of a category pre-launch.
Of course, you need a tonne of press pre-launch in order for the app store employees to know you exist for this route.
I wonder how much it would cost the best IH to achieve the same result without all the $$$$$$
But how will small app developers compete with that?
