Hey IH — Tom here, founder of Artemis GTM.
I've been deep in B2B go-to-market for a while now (was the founding SDR leader at Apollo.io, helped scale from $800K to $50M ARR). One pattern I kept seeing over and over — at Apollo, at every company I've advised since — is that teams spend a fortune on lead gen and then just... don't respond fast enough.
So I went and built a free calculator that quantifies exactly how much slow response times cost a business. And honestly, the numbers surprised even me.
Here's what the research shows:
That last one still gets me. Half of all leads — the ones you paid to generate — just disappear because nobody picks up the phone or sends the email.
I ran the math on a mid-market scenario: 500 monthly leads, $25K average deal size, 24-hour response time. The calculator spit out roughly $4.95M in annual revenue at risk. The tool stack to fix it (de-anonymization + automated routing) costs about $18K/year. The ROI math is pretty hard to argue with.
What I got wrong initially: I assumed this was mainly a "hire more SDRs" problem. It's not. 47% of leads arrive outside business hours. You can't solve a 24/7 problem with 9-to-5 humans. The real fix is automation that responds instantly but still feels personalized — referencing what the prospect was actually looking at on your site.
What I'd change if I rebuilt it: I'd add benchmarking by industry vertical. Response time expectations are different for a $5K SMB deal vs. a $200K enterprise deal. Working on that for v2.
The calculator is free, no email gate, takes about 30 seconds. Mostly built it because I got tired of explaining this to every founder during GTM audits and wanted to just send them a link.

Happy to answer questions about speed-to-lead implementation if anyone's working through this right now.
