We built a library of 17 ready-made business websites — here’s why
We’ve been working on a different approach to building websites for small businesses at DevOnSite.
A common problem we noticed is that getting a business website launched can take much longer than expected. Before development even starts, there are decisions around design, structure, content, pages, and pricing.
So we built the DevOnSite Website Library.
Instead of starting from a blank page, business owners can browse professionally designed websites for their industry, choose a design they like, and personalize it with their business name, logo, and content.
The current library includes 17 website designs across industries such as:

One thing we wanted to make especially easy was the first step. You can try personalizing a website and see your own version without creating an account.
If someone wants to take it further, DevOnSite can then help launch the website on their own domain, including things like hosting, SSL, forms, analytics, Search Console setup, and customization depending on the package.
The interesting challenge for us has been finding the right balance between ready-made and custom.
A completely custom website gives businesses flexibility, but it also increases the time, decisions, and cost involved. A fixed template is faster, but can feel too restrictive. We’re trying to sit somewhere between those two approaches.
