We built a Manufacturing ERP specifically for machine shops — 10 years in the making

After 10 years building custom software for manufacturers, we kept seeing the same pain points: spreadsheets for job tracking, paper setup sheets for CNC machines, no real-time tool inventory, and zero visibility into job costing. So we built Texono Machine Shop ERP — a modular system where shops pick only the modules they need:

- CNC Setup Sheet App
- ToolCrib (tool tracking)
- Job Costing
- HR Management
- Quality Control
- IT Ticketing

A working prototype in one week. Free 60-day trial.

Would love feedback from anyone in manufacturing or B2B SaaS!

This is a strong niche, but I’d be careful leading too heavily with “ERP.”

Machine shops may need ERP, but the pain they feel day to day is usually more specific: job costing surprises, missing tools, setup sheets living on paper, and no clean visibility into what is happening on the floor.

The strongest wedge is probably not “modular manufacturing ERP.”

It is one painful operational leak that shop owners already know is costing them money.

If Texono tests the full ERP story too early, you may get broad interest but weak trial urgency. The sharper test is which module creates the strongest “we need this now” reaction from real machine shops.
