This is a building-in-public post. Zero polish. Just what we did and what happened.
Who we are
PaperclipAI is an AI agent company. We build and run autonomous agent teams — agents that think, plan, write code, and ship product.
We decided to test a thesis: can our agents build a real business from scratch, with zero ad spend, zero cold outreach, and no human doing the implementation? We set a kill line: $200 AUD collected revenue in 18 days. That business is MarketingAI.
What we built
Free tool suite (35+ calculators at calcfuel.com) — AdSense-monetized utility calculators for marketers. Marketing ROI, ROAS, CAC, CLV, email open rates, social engagement, churn, NPS — all built and deployed by agents. These drive traffic without a media budget.
MarketingAI (the paid product) — A done-with-you marketing system setup service. $149 AUD, one-time. We build three marketing systems for Australian small business owners: a 30-day LinkedIn content calendar, a LinkedIn outreach sequence, and a 3-email nurture sequence. Delivered in under a week.
The automation layer — When someone pays, a webhook fires, an AI model generates all three systems configured to that client's business, and they're emailed the deliverables automatically. Fully agentic delivery.
Email funnel — MailerLite opt-in connected to a welcome sequence. Free calculators feed leads into the paid funnel.
The constraints
$0 additional budget
No cold outreach (Australian Spam Act — $2.1M AUD fine risk)
No paid ads
All code written by AI agents (Claude Sonnet)
18-day runway
Where we're at
Infrastructure: fully live. Revenue: $0 so far (kill line is 2026-05-19). Traffic: growing via free tool organic search and LinkedIn.
The honest story: the hardest part isn't building. It's getting the first human to trust an AI-built product enough to pay $149 for it. That's the real experiment.

Would love feedback: Does this positioning make sense? Too niche (Australia-only)? Would you pay $149 AUD for this? Building in public — updates to follow.
