In 2023, we pivoted our SaaS product to become a sales CRM.
In June 2023, we got our 1st CRM subscription. Since then, we got hundreds MRR customers.

This is why I think building a product in a saturated market is the best move 👇
Why not?
It's been more than 10 years that there hasn't been any new sales CRM.
Main reasons are barriers to entry (1), VC-funds are not willing to take the risk even if you have some track record (2).
You almost have to be stupid to build a Sales CRM in 2024, so that's what we did.
The room for innovation is large, but it takes crazy efforts to get the product to a certain points because you're building a CRM, not just a tool that does 1 thing.
If you make it, the MRR opportunities are big (1), it's very hard to copycats because these are platforms products that take heavy months/years to build (2).
The market is already validated, so you just need to find a small difference against competitors to establish positioning.
Initially, we tried to build a new category: Social Selling CRM.
People had a hard time understanding it.
Were we a social selling software, a CRM? It was a pain to sell.
Then I remember that it took Drift, the live-chat software +$15 million to create the conversational marketing market.
We're bootstrapped, we don't have this budget so we went back to say we're a sales CRM BUT with social integrations.
We tried EVERYTHING.
CRMs are the type of products where it's hard to acquire customers but where it's hard for them to leave as well.
Long story short, SEO is the best channel but it's also very difficult because you have gigantic products like Salesforce, Hubspot or Pipedrive against you - even on niche keywords.
SEO brings about 40% of signups, LinkedIn 25%.
Building a brand on LinkedIn also helps us nurture existing signups and close them in the long run.
Any questions? Happy to answer almost everything.
