We built a tool because my CV kept getting ignored — now it helps others get interviews

Like most people, I thought my resume was “pretty good.”

Clean design.
Clear experience.
Looked solid.

But the reality?

Almost zero responses.

After digging deeper, I realized something uncomfortable:

It wasn’t about my experience.
It was about how it was interpreted.

Most resumes today don’t get read by humans first — they go through ATS systems.
And small things break everything:

  • Missing keywords

  • Weak bullet points

  • Vague descriptions

  • Formatting issues

So I built something for myself.

A simple tool that:

  • analyzes a CV against a specific job

  • shows where it fails ATS screening

  • rewrites bullet points to sound like actual impact, not tasks

That project turned into CVBoosta.

No agency. No clients. Just a product we built over ~3 months.

What surprised me:

People don’t come for rewriting.

They come to “check their score.”

But once they see the gaps —
they immediately want the fix.

So the real value isn’t the score.

It’s helping people translate their experience into something both ATS systems and recruiters understand.

We just launched, so still early.

Now trying to figure out:

  • where to get first consistent traffic

  • how to convert free users → paid without killing trust

  • how far we can push SEO in this niche

If you’ve built in this space or cracked distribution early — would love to hear what worked for you.
