We built an AI that refuses to say "looks good"

Ask a friend "does this outfit work?" and you'll get a polite "yeah, looks good" — which helps nobody. Honest style feedback is socially expensive, so almost nobody gives it.

That's the gap BrutalCoach fills: drop a photo of your outfit, pick the temperature — from gentle to brutal — and the AI gives you concrete, actionable feedback in under 10 seconds. Not compliments: what works, what doesn't, what to swap.

Things we learned building it:

1. People explicitly choose brutal mode more than we expected. There's real demand for un-sugarcoated feedback — as long as you opted in.

2. Specificity beats verdicts. "The proportions clash: slim trousers with an oversized coat need a defined waist" lands; "7/10" doesn't.
