We built Magiclip so creators don’t need editors anymore

Hey Indie Hackers đź‘‹

I want to share a quick win from our journey with Magiclip.io.

Magiclip turns long videos into short viral clips automatically:

YouTube videos

Podcasts

Zoom recordings

Gameplay

AI videos (Sora 2, Veo 3, BananaPro…)

What’s working for us right now:

Creators want speed, not complexity

Short-form demand is exploding (TikTok, Reels, Shorts)

Most people don’t want to learn editing — they want results

We focused on:

One link → multiple clips

Auto subtitles

Clean cuts

Ready-to-post output

No timeline headaches. No editor back-and-forth.

Building Magiclip taught us something important:
Distribution matters more than perfection.
We shipped early, improved fast, and listened obsessively to users.

Still early, still learning — but momentum is real.

If you’re building for creators or experimenting with short-form, happy to exchange notes 🙌
