We caved. Making a podcast just for early-stage indie founders!

The story

I think we've all been there:

We tried to build a product, read all the "best guides" online about how to build a startup, get those "marketing hacks" down but then we get stuck trying to even get our first few customers.. I that's 80% of us here on IndieHackers.

As I was trying to get customers for my own business, I ran into a founder who's building his own SaaS that I was actually quite impressed with.

After talking with him for a few weeks, I realized that that we both have very interesting stories to share about building businesses and wanted to bring our lessons and mistakes out to the world.

The topics we spoke about are:

• marketing and growth tactics (what worked vs. didn't work)
• trying to price products in a way that makes sense for our customers
• making landing pages that actually get viewers to ask for a demo, etc.

We are very passionate about helping other founders find their way around the startup world and find true, tested, and creative ways to build a product that people will love paying for. It's tough. And the more help we can get from each other, the better in my opinion.

And what better way to share our knowledge with each other, than creating a podcast? :)

Why not help others like us?

After debating the idea of whether we should start yet another podcast, Adrian (the other founder) and I figured out that there should be a podcast that grows with us. Sure, today we're only doing XX in revenue, but as we scale our own businesses, we'll be able to better teach founders how to build and grow their own businesses.

And I think that's rare. How often do you find two founders discussing openly about their flaws, mistakes and biases as they learn to grow their own businesses. This isn't an interview-style podcast (not yet anyway). Just two guys, being honest about their shortcomings and sharing lessons that we had to learn the hard way.

Who this podcast is for

If you're an early-stage founder or someone who wants to start their own online business, give us a shot! We talk about what worked vs. didn't for us, our strange customer experiences, how most customers hate being subscribed to 200 SaaS businesses in today's world and how we learned to do sales!

The founder journey is tough. It doesn't have to be. Rely on those around you to bring you higher!
