We changed the idea and relaunched our platform from the ground up 🚀

Hey everyone,

I am glad to share our progress with you. After several months of development we decided to radically change our idea and move in a different direction.

More than a year ago, I shared a post about our startup. The idea was well received by the community, but unfortunately, we didn’t find a consistent way to acquire new users. We had several dozens of users, but no clear understanding of what to do next and no real growth 🤯

As a result, we decided to go for a radical change. We stopped our first version, changed the idea of the service, developed a new landing page, and built a new admin panel.

During our development, we have spent some time choosing the best instruments for us. I hope this list will save some time for fellow developers!

Database - PostgreSQL

Monitoring and metrics - Prometheus, Grafana

Admin panel - MUI

Live chat for landing page and admin panel - Chatwoot

Email delivery service - SendGrid

Internal knowledge base - Notion

Graphics editor - Figma

Payments - Paddle

If you want to follow our journey you can do it on twitter

I know it’s just a beginning, but let’s work hard and stay hopeful!

What was your previous idea ?

Did you find a way to acquire users ? How did you do it ?

We launched a service for creating video widgets for websites. You can check how it works on our website (the tool still works, but we don't promote it anymore).

We didn't find a consistent way how to acquire users, and it was the main reason why we stopped the development.

What programing lang has been used in backend ?

How many paying users are there right now ?

Great that you were able to pivot. I have realized that great entrepreneurs are not afraid of killing their ideas to start new ones. I interviewed Michelle who, together with her co-founders, have pivoted their idea in the middle Y Combinator.

Nice, would be interesting to see if you acquire more users now!
