We got 1000 users without any marketing. Luck? Maybe...

Hey Everyone!

This is a follow up from our latest side project - Building a New Side Project : Tweet Catcher

First what is TweetCatcher? It's basically Twitter bookmarks on steroid.

We hate to go through all of our bookmarks, when we want to show a funny tweet to a friend.

So we make a mobile app for saving, organizing and finding the tweets you love.

We published TweetCatcher couple of weeks ago, and we did no marketing at all.

What can I say, we want to do some marketing. But we were very busy with client projects. ( Sometimes you have to pay the bills :D )

However people discovered us through app store. And we got 1000 downloads in a very short period.

It sounds like luck, right? Maybe...

But I think there's something different here. We did know that people are complaining about Twitter bookmarks all over the place.

And we had the same problem. So it was obvious that people were searching for a solution.

This is golden. When you're solving a problem you have.

I don't think TweetCatcher will become something big. But we have build products for fake problems that we invent before, and useful things that we need.

And the biggest difference is building something you yourself want, for a problem you care is relaxing. Unlike solving a problem that you invent...

It's obvious that this 1000 users are just a quick peak. And This will not continue , if we don't take an action about marketing.

But making and marketing TweetCatcher is just relaxing.

Just solve a problem you care.
