We got 36 qualified leads yesterday and 10 booked calls for January.

This is simple email outreach. Most of you probably know this BUT it works.

Here are the steps:

  1. Get a secondary domain similar to your current one but slightly different.

We do this just in case your main domain doesn't get blacklisted.

The best option is to use an alternate extension:

Instead of .com, consider .net or .org

  1. Create an email address on that domain, it's best to use your name.

Next, we need to warm up the inbox. There are several services that do this.

This automatically sends and replies to emails from your inbox and "warms it up" naturally for around $10/month.

Warm for at least 15 days.

  1. For our mailer we use Apollo - an email automation tool with its own database of 64 million verified email addresses.

You can access 10k of these per month for $79.

Remember to use the filter: Search > People > Email status > Verified

Select target industry, location, persona etc. and add to a list.

(Not affiliated with this product in anyway)

  1. Create a sequence in Apollo

I found a 3-step sequence works best, sending on Day 1, Day 6 and Day 13

I like to start:

"Had a quick question.

I work at A, we do X.

If I were to put together a quick presentation on how you can X, would you be interested in taking a look?"

  1. Connect everything:
  • Connect your new inbox to Apollo
  • Set inbox to send 120 emails per day
  • Connect the inbox to a free Hubspot account (this makes managing replies super easy)
  • Add your target lists to the sequence in Apollo
  • Activate sequence
  1. Replies will appear in your Hubspot conversations and will automatically be removed from the sequence.

If the reply is positive, send them your Calendly link.

If they don't book a call, follow up in a few days.

It's really that simple. You should be doing this.

If you have any questions, just let me know.

Really appreciate the no-nonsense step-by-step in your post. Are you using this approach strictly for selling a service offering (agency)? Have you done the same for a product offering?

    1. 1

I'm doing it for services currently and we'll be expanding into saas products very soon.

I put together a graphic summarizing the process which you might find helpful: https://twitter.com/oliverkarlhan/status/1605842231646199808

Let me know if you have any questions - happy to share.

Really like your feedback, that is cool that Apollo already has a database of emails!

Thanks Andy! Yeah Apollo is a great tool.

interesting. thanks for sharing. How did you find email of users you wanted to contact? linkedin?

    1. 1

Within Apollo. They have access to millions of business emails but you can only select 10k per month.

Let me know if you have any questions - happy to help!

This is a great, straightforward approach. We've done 100s of campaigns and the #1 opened email campaign on our platform has the subject line:

    "{{Company Name}} offline"

    😂

tldr; don't overthink it, start sending (although 120 per day is a lot for an email address not warmed up!) and iterate!

Haha love that subject, may give it a whirl!

Btw launching an email saas very soon - would love to get your thoughts if you have a few mins to spare? Will Dm you on Twitter
