We got tired of crappy online networking events, so we built this

My experience at the last 5 online networking events were terrible. I show up to the zoom meeting, there are 30 people, and the facilitator tells everyone to introduce themselves one by one. As I listen, I hear the 4th person say they are a social media expert, and I really wanted to talk to them, but then I have to listen for an additional whole 30 minutes of everyone introducing themselves before I can talk to anyone.

After the introductions, they open up the floor for everyone to talk, DISASTER! This older lady doing an MLM starts hogging the floor telling us about her "business" and I can't even get a word in. She has an opinion about literally everything. People start to leave because they realize they won't actually be able to meet anyone.

This was all of the networking events, and it sucked so much to go through all of this.

The complete lack of ability to have side conversations was awful.

At another networking event, there was a random matching feature, where you join this room, and you randomly are paired up with someone to talk to for 5 min. This was also terrible. It was after a talk, and I wanted to speak with one of the speakers, but I kept on getting randomly matched with people i didn't want to talk to, and I was stuck having to talk to them for a whole 5 min!

Online networking events right now suck, like really bad. Like I wanted to shout at my computer, thats how bad it was.
