We got tired of muting our favorite communities. So we started building Integral.

Over the past few years, we joined dozens of online communities... Slack groups, Discord servers, Reddit threads, WhatsApp chats. Some were amazing at first. But almost every single one followed the same pattern:

High energy at the start
99+ notifications in a few weeks
Way too many channels
And eventually… we muted them.

What started as high-signal spaces became overwhelming, chaotic, or just totally dead. And for community builders, it’s even harder... keeping engagement up without burning out.

So we’re building Integral, a new kind of community platform that solves the three core problems we kept running into:

Noise – You shouldn’t have to sift through 99 channels to find one good conversation.
Lack of personalization – Everyone gets the same feed, even though everyone’s looking for something different.
Zero rewards for the people doing the work – Moderators and power users get nothing back for their time.

Here’s how we’re approaching it:

• Relevance over recency (think: what’s most valuable, not what’s most recent)
• AI tools that help surface good conversations and archive dead ones
• A long-term plan to pay community leaders through shared ad revenue
