We Hit 100k Monthly Visitors with a 100% Free CVEFeed.io

TL;DR: CVEFeed.io is finally fully working, 100% free—and we crossed 100k monthly visitors. Here’s what clicked and what’s next.

I finally got CVEFeed.io to a place where it just… works. The pipeline clicked—ingest, normalize, enrich, deliver—and for the first time the alerts felt fast and useful enough that I wasn’t embarrassed to share them. I kept the whole thing 100% free on purpose; the people who need timely vuln intel the most are often the ones locked out by paywalls.

Traffic surprised me. Folks reposted CVE notifications on X and Reddit, and suddenly we crossed 100k monthly visitors. I expected a slow burn; instead, I got a small fire.

Keeping it free felt risky, but right. I want a feed that a student, indie builder, or SOC analyst can wire in before lunch and trust the same afternoon. So far my monthly costs of the infra is around 50$

Next up: API v2 with better filters and pagination, SBOM → auto-watchlists, ticket sync (Jira/Linear), and richer Splunk/ES mappings. If you live in terminals and tickets, I’d love your feedback. Try it at cvefeed.io—create a watchlist, connect Slack, and tell me what breaks.
