We hit $420 with our SaaS this month – here’s how

We launched our app in August. It’s been a bit of a grind, honestly.

Since launch, we’ve:

  • Gone live on Product Hunt
  • Shared it in a bunch of communities
  • Created some UGC videos
  • Cold messaged around 200 people

Some of that helped, but what actually worked was when we stopped pitching “what the app does” and instead focused on why people even care. That’s when the signups started to come in.

A bit of context — I’ve been building businesses for about 8 years. My strategy has always been pretty simple: network, build relationships, and post valuable stuff on LinkedIn and Instagram to build relationships without being there. That content side has always driven growth for me.

But most founders don’t post. Either they don’t have time, or don’t feel confident doing it. That’s why we built the app — to make content creation way easier for people who do have something to say, but don’t know how to say it in a way that lands.

One thing that helped: I shared a story about how a LinkedIn post led to a $25k customer. No hard pitch, just real proof that showing up online can lead to opportunities.

Now we’re trying to build momentum. No idea what the next few months look like but thought I’d share in case anyone else is in the early days too.

Happy to answer questions or share more if you’re in the weeds like we are.
