We just got featured on BetaList - how to get most out of it?

Hi all,
Brother and I applied for BetaList with our startup (Wasp) and got featured today, meaning they published a post about Wasp (https://betalist.com/startups/wasp) and they will also be tweeting about us.

If our BetaList post gets enough likes, we will end up on Trending Page, giving us more exposure, and if we get even more likes, we will end up in their newsletter which would be amazing.

We are both software engineers and while we have some experience with growth/marketing from our startup journey(s) I am sure some of you are much more experienced, so any advice on how to get the most out of this would mean a lot :D! Help your friendly neighbor developer :D!

This is what we did so far:

Thanks a lot!

Congrats! I'd assume an objective of yours is to get users to sign up to be notified when you launch? Here are some suggestions you can consider trying out to keep that momentum going:

    • Share your startup/feature on any related forums on Reddit, FB Groups, etc. Don't be spammy otherwise Reddit or FB Group moderator might take your post down. I'd suggest trying to engage your targeted users on these forums by asking related questions. You can also comment and answer related questions which can then be a shameless plug for Wasp.
    • Do you have a personal email list? You should create a personal email list with friends, family, mentors, and ppl who care about what you're doing. Moving forward, every month you can send out a monthly update and share related info/updates regarding your progress with Wasp.

Yes, exactly, objective is to get people signed up (and also get feedback)!

      • Good point, we are on Reddit and had very good success with community there, but we have not engaged any FB groups, we should look into that also!
      • Personal email list -> we actually do have a list (inner circle) but not mailing, we just reach out on different channels / messengers. It might be smarter to have just a mailing list thought!

      Thanks a lot for advice!

Thank you! Also thanks for the offer, right now we are focusing on only specific channels + delivering next version of product, but we could reconnect in the future - what is the name of the podcast? And congrats on doing podcast!
