We just got featured on BetaList with our tool for affordable provisional patents

Our project IdeaClerk was just featured on BetaList

The feature itself is cool, but the real value has been talking to founders who think very differently about patents. Here are three things that stood out:

• Patents are polarizing. Some see them as a moat, others as a distraction. Very few are neutral.

• Education beats selling. When we share insights (like when to use patents vs trade secrets), people engage. When we just say “patents are important,” they scroll past.

• Optionality resonates. Most early founders don’t want to decide everything up front. They like the idea of keeping doors open while they focus on building.

We’re still early, and BetaList feels like a good testing ground for these conversations.
