We just launched beta-signups for our Mac app. What do you think about our page?

We've just launched our Mac app's landing page that allows you to sign up for the beta program of our app. The app is a "pro-tool" aimed at developers and designers and allows you to optimize images for the web more easily, in a single place.

What do you think about our landing page so far? Would appreciate any feedback 😊

    Hi Sven,

    Congrats on the beta launch!

    The good stuff:

    • minimal design with little distractions;
    • blazing-fast load;
    • a decently clear value proposition in the H1;
    • app screenshots showcase your product in action;
    • features are presented with decent use cases and even addressing one of the user's pains directly;
    • features have illustrations to help people better understand what to expect;
    • despite the privacy policy opening in the same tab (leading people away from the CTA), you made sure to at least include the lead form there as well, which is fine I guess, but there's no reason not to open that link in a new tab;
    • good job on the lead form validation and tooltips – pure function with no distractions.

    The meh stuff:

    • H2 is wordy and kind of falls flat because it doesn't play off the H1 copy;
    • the first screen offers me to sign up for updates and the beta program but it doesn't specify how, when (and if at all) I'm going to get access to the app itself;
    • you mention "over 50 formats" in the batch processing block while it could have received its own neat section;
    • automatic compression feature description sounds almost too good to be true without examples;
    • not a single example (images and/or numbers) in the entire LP;
    • the only CTA is at the top of the page – and the page is some 9 screens long (on a MacBook Pro), making me scroll by hand to the top of the page to submit my email.

    Overall, this isn't terrible at all, but the layout and copy could use some polish. I hope this will help you. Cheers!

      Thank you so much for your feedback!

      All "the meh stuff" you listed is completely valid & actionable advice that we can really use and will be sure to implement as soon as possible. (Especially giving people more details and examples that proove our claims & features!)

      Thanks again, hope you have a lovely day!

        No problem! Love your 'just enough' approach.

    Hey Sven,

    I really like the idea.
    I can say that the landing page is not the best, but if you'd like I can give you a hand with the design and development of the landing page. No charge. I know it sounds too good to be true, but the software looks really neat and it would be a shame not to have a presentation page similar to the software.

    Good luck ahead!
