We just launched on Product Hunt!

Quick context: Underpriced AI is a tool I built for my wife and me — we flip items from thrift stores and estate sales. The research process was brutal (15-20 min per item), so I built an app that does it in seconds.

How it works: Snap a photo → AI identifies the item → searches recently sold listings across eBay, Poshmark, Mercari, Facebook, Etsy, and Depop → shows you clickable links to every comparable sale so you can verify the prices yourself. Then generates a listing and publishes to eBay with one click.

Some numbers after 3 months:

  • 125 users, 17 paying subscribers ($191 MRR)
  • 14.1% trial-to-paid conversion
  • $9/mo entry price, ~$0.05/scan cost
  • Zero churn so far (fingers crossed)
  • Bootstrapped and self-funded

Recent features shipped:

  • Cross-platform sold data with verifiable links (our key differentiator)
  • Direct eBay publishing (US, UK, Canada, Australia, Germany) + Bonanza
  • Batch scanning (up to 10 items at once)
  • iOS + Android apps + Chrome/Firefox extensions
  • Sourcing calculator ("Should I buy it?" with per-platform net profit after fees)
  • Death Pile Prioritizer (AI ranks unlisted inventory by urgency)
  • Tax report export (Schedule C-ready CSV)
  • Automated weekly blog publishing via AI

Biggest lesson: don't claim "exceptional accuracy" if you haven't measured it. We recently rewrote all our marketing copy to focus on transparency — "here are the actual sold listings, verify for yourself" — instead of unverifiable accuracy claims. Conversion hasn't suffered and trust feels more genuine.

If you have a PH account, it would mean a lot if you could check out our page. Happy to answer questions about the AI stack, pricing model, or bootstrapping journey.
