We just launched our business name generator!

After months of hard work, we just launched our Business Name Generator and I’m really proud of it. So proud, in fact, that I will use it to generate name ideas for you.

Looka Business Name Generator

Just comment with an idea (it can just be a couple keywords) and I’ll reply with some company names generated by the name generator, and curated by me.

The project took about five months from start to finish. I’m biased, but I think it’s at least an order of magnitude better than what’s out there right now. We use some insane algorithms to generate the names, and we actually give you five different kinds of names: traditional, invented words, compound words, multi-word names, and real-word names. Just click a name to check domain and social media availability, see logo ideas, and some other fun stuff.

Why build a business name generator? I freaking love the indie hacker / startup community. I have some weird obsession with seeing indie hackers succeed. Maybe I need to see a therapist, but for now I will build products. It also leads nicely into our main logo-maker product.

Naming is something that people always struggle with, and it sucks for the first step of starting something to be a struggle. My hope with the BNG is that it can pump out enough ideas (disclaimer: some will be bad) that you can find a perfect name for your new thing and have a small % more success.

When I started Logojoy (and launched here on IH four years ago), my level of excitement and drive to launch the project like doubled when discovered the name “Logojoy”. Having the right name is a huge motivator.

Hope you guys like the product and looking forward to giving you name suggestions for your startup ideas!
