After months of development, I'm excited to share that Songr, our AI-powered song generator, is finally live!
Songr lets anyone create song lyrics in seconds, regardless of musical experience. Simply choose a genre, set the mood, and let the AI write your lyrics. Whether you’re a musician, an aspiring songwriter, or just someone who loves creative writing, Songr can spark your creativity.

Thank you! In my case, I didn't actually have a co-founder for Songr. I started this project solo, but I’ve been lucky to have a small, talented team of developers who help bring my ideas to life.

Loved the idea of Songr after greedy "freemium" AI music generators, so I'll go through what are pros of Songr and potential cons of it according to me.
Pros:
Free to use. (Assuming free because of no info related to pricing on the website.)
As I read to a previous comment about music rights and you said the person who generates it, owns it. Many platforms do not give you the music rights.
As good as or atleast somewhat good as many popular AI music generators.
Potential Cons (According to me):
You might not get 100% of your traffic because of need to download your software first to make music, which makes some people including me lose interest. I suggest you to also have a web version too along with software. As many AI music generators have a web version too.
It is almost too same like any other AI music generator, do something unique because all your mentioned features on website are too common for an AI music generator and people would rather stick to "old" and "trusted" brands like Suno-AI or Boomy rather than "new" platform like Songr if no uniqueness is provided.
Final Thoughts:
Loved the idea of Songr especially if the whole platform is free, it has a solid foundation and a great potential to be the next Suno-AI.
One thing I might consider if I were you, to include something unique in my AI platform to stand out from the crowd.

- You’re absolutely right about the convenience of a web version. I’ve thought about it, and it's definitely something I want to explore in the future. For now, starting with an app allowed me to focus on a smooth user experience and quality music generation.
- The uniqueness factor is something I’m actively thinking about. Right now, I’m focused on making Songr as user-friendly and accessible as possible, but I have a few ideas in the works to differentiate it from other platforms.
- About pricing — Songr has a free version where you can create one song. For more features and unlimited songs, there’s a Pro version. I’ll make this more transparent on the website to avoid confusion.

Hey, I just tried out Songr – here’s some feedback from a fresh user perspective:
First, it felt a bit intimidating that the app immediately asked me to commit to a payment plan (even with the 14-day trial). I didn't yet know what to expect, so having to sign up for something upfront felt like a big step without context.
The app seems made for music enthusiasts, which is cool – but when I opened it as a curious first-time user, I didn’t really know what kind of lyrics I wanted to create. I think it would help to have a more guided start – something that really picks you up from zero.
Then, when I submitted something, I was confused because the output appeared under a separate tab. Now it's been "processing" for 4 minutes and I'm not sure if it's still working or if it's stuck. I'd love to see some kind of feedback like "40% done" or "Success in progress" so I know it's alive.
Really exciting concept overall – just wanted to share what I experienced as a completely new user. 🙌

About the Payment Prompt: I totally understand how a trial prompt right away can feel a bit overwhelming. I'm considering adjusting the onboarding flow to give users a bit more context and a chance to explore before making any decisions. Your feedback confirms this is worth exploring.
Guided Start for New Users: That’s an excellent suggestion. I’m already thinking of adding a quick-start guide or some creative templates (like "Romantic Ballad" or "Upbeat Pop") that can inspire users right from the beginning. I want to make sure even first-time users feel empowered to create.
Processing Feedback: This is a great catch. I agree, there should be a clear indicator that the song generation is in progress. I will work with my team to make this more intuitive and transparent – like showing progress, estimated time, or even a "Your song is being composed" message.

The biggest challenge was perfecting the UI/UX design. I wanted Songr to feel intuitive and creative, even for first-time users. Balancing a clean look with enough functionality, making sure users can easily create songs without feeling lost, and optimizing the flow took a lot of iterations.
Constantly improving it based on feedback.
Hi! I wonder if there would be any legal consequences if creating a song on Songr and the uploading it on Spotify
Hi! When you create a song using Songr, you own the full rights to the song, including the lyrics and melody. This means you are free to upload it to platforms like Spotify or any other streaming service without any legal issues.
