I've been looking for technical people for months and I think one big thing I see missing here (at least not mentioned) is meeting, building interest, pitching, etc potential co-founders BEFORE they're interested in starting a test project. 95% of technical people I've met don't seem very motivated to build or do a test project which seems to come from the fact that they aren't sold on the idea/startup potential yet.
Maybe there is a way to integrate a co-founder pitch meeting/call first and help the co-founder build a solid co-founder pitch deck and give tips on how to sell their idea to technical co-founders.
Thanks, Matthew! That's a really good point. I think that getting to know your partner before deciding to commit is essential. Currently, the only way to get to know the co-founder on the platform is through messages (and, of course, scheduled calls outside of the webapp), but I agree that integrating calls on the platform itself would make it easier.
The suggestion about helping the co-founder to pitch their idea better is super interesting, and it's something that I have given some thought to, only not in the context of a first pitch meeting. I'll definitely consider it and collect more feedback on this. Thanks!

Often people want to look forward co-founders but not sure where to start.
Just a tip - if you could prevet (with some additional checks/get a call) everyone who joins the community, its will give more confidence and help in quality connections. Atleast, do this for first 50 members to build a better ecosystem.

This is a good idea. Often the best ideas come from non technical founders and they struggle to build it. Well there are low code solutions but beyond CRUD they are pretty ordinary. So having a partner co-founder is so very important.

I made a habit of talking about my product to everyone and anyone. In one case, a former colleague, coworker, and friend of mine took an interest in the product and the more we talked about it, the more we felt like working on it together would yield dividends.

Sounds like an awesome idea! One completely subjective nitpick: I find using the word “challenge” to be unnecessarily obfuscating. I think “project” is a more intuitive label.
