In September 2021 our CEO, Charlie Patel purchased a $51k domain. 7 Months later the SaaS LTD platform launched a handful of founder bootstrapped products. When he sent me this message about his new venture my response was the same as his. “We Only Live Once..."
The latest deal at RocketHub is a lifetime deal on AI Text-to-Video Marketing. This specific deal is a not for profit deal as the team is donating our portion of the profit to a Ukrainian charity selected by the founders. Note: Members of the founding team are based in Ukraine.

A little history.
I’ve been lucky enough to be mentored by our CEO for 6 whole years now. I learned along the way while he built some awesome productized services and SaaS companies. But this platform is pretty much the end goal for me as I started out launching Hackathon events from Guam of all places. Met Eric Reis and Ryan Hoover for like basically a few minutes and those few conversations changed the trajectory of my life. So I quit my 9 to 5 all those years ago, was broke for several months, then started working with Charlie because being broke is not fun…
Anyway… the point of this background info is that we have been in the startup, SaaS, tech space, for years. Prior to that I was just an internet marketer that ruined all things :P (joke).
The Big Problem with Starting Up
Most of us here know that starting up is not an Instagram lifestyle account. It’s haaarrrd but fun. That said, anytime you find a bootstrapped team in their infancy you’re met with challenges.
(and we all know, you only get the marketer and the mom if you’re lucky :P)
If a team can manage to bootstrap their way past these challenges that’s golden… But then of course…
“The money thing… “
You need money to build a SaaS (there’s costs involved in this stuff).
The typical path for raising funds in an early stage is not easy. It’s almost always personally bootstrapped or you may need to giveaway too much equity before you even make money.
Charlie saw a gap in the startup SaaS LTD space. To paraphrase…
“Let’s help startups bridge the gap by walking them through the launch process. Including aspects like user testing, creating marketing collateral, and formulating a strategic pricing strategy that’s both sustainable and focused on a path to MRR."
As you can imagine that’s a big undertaking. Every deal we’ve done so far has been months in the making. We have the specific advantage a sales team, design team, email marketing team, dev team, support team, and of course launch team. Everything most startups don’t have.
So here’s how it’s going…
Things I’m learning so far …
The Lifetime Deal space is not always a happy go lucky one
From the founder’s end they are often required to giveaway a big percentage of their profit in order to see good results.
From the buyer’s end the question of longevity is always a big one. Buying a product that “must beat the odds” to survive is risky.
From a platform perspective it takes a lot of time and energy and trust to walk a founding team through this process.
It’s fun to solve hard problems…
