We launched No Trace Chat — private messaging with a secret code, no signup, messages vanish after read

We wanted a way to chat that doesn’t leave a trail: no account, no phone number, no permanent log. So we built No Trace Chat.

How it works: you create or join a room with a secret code (or scan a QR). Only people with that code can see the conversation. Messages are E2E encrypted and disappear after the other person reads them ("seen & delete"). We never have the key, so we can’t read your messages. Optional privacy levels (e.g. don’t save codes on device), screenshot blocking by default, and no push notifications keep usage as low-signal as possible.

We shipped on Android and iOS (Flutter, Firestore, RevenueCat). Apple initially rejected us under "user-generated content" even though we’re private invite-only—we added 18+, a custom EULA, and in-app contact and resubmitted.

Would love feedback from anyone who cares about minimal-footprint messaging. What would make you use something like this over Signal or WhatsApp for the most sensitive stuff?
