We launched Subly 2.0 today after 7 months in beta

Hey everyone, Miguel here, developer at Subly (automatic transcription and subtitles).

7-months ago we launched Subly beta, it was an amazing start to our journey! Since launch we’ve made so many changes to our platform, and talked to our customers every single day to get all kinds of feedback. It has been months in the making... but now it’s ready for you! 🚀

Our Subly team of superheroes across the world (from the UK and the Netherlands, to Bali and Australia) have done an insane job to get all this ready for you. We’ve had so much feedback whilst Subly has been in beta... it really has helped us to build a product that works for you,

2-years ago our CEO was struggling to edit and style her own videos without any video editing skills or paying huge amounts to have content professionally edited. And even then the content wasn’t ready in time. As anyone who has ever created, filmed, edited or styled content before will know - video editing just isn’t usually simple and takes so much time. But video is so important for enterprises, agencies, creators, individuals and brands around the world. And subtitles are so key right now as so many people view different platforms with sound off.

Now over 17k users have felt the same pain and joined Subly to make their content editing and styling easier 💪 Simply put, it’s saving people days of time, tonnes of budget, making workflows super simple, and most importantly helping people around the world create better content with better engagement.

Give it a try for free at getsubly.com and upgrade to Subly Pro for even more magic ✨

If you have any feedback or any question drop it below, we'd love to hear it!

P.S. We are live today on Product Hunt, if you want to give us some extra love ❤️

Just a suggestion if you want your users to get to the "aha" moment faster: You could add an search box where people can upload a video/put a link to their FB video, and you'd give them the first X seconds of the video transcribed for free.

You can even go with the accessibility angle with creators that may want to reach a mute audience, or creators that want to give it a go for their recent videos. Do a cold outreach, give them some stats (subtitled videos get more engagement, etc) and get them to sign up.

Thanks @zerotousers, really appreciate all your feedback and ideas! We still have a free version of the product but you do have to register still - it's something we've considered to let people upload first and then sign up. Definitely one for us to consider!

We're totally with you on reaching out to creators too 👀 we're onto that next week and will be sending more videos back with subtitles for influencers to see!
