We learned to vibe code and shipped our first iOS app — here's what happened

A couple months ago, my friend Marcos and I decided to learn how to vibe code and build an app from scratch. The idea was to create something that helps you follow through with whatever goal you have in mind.

It started with the app being able to read any type of goal — the user could just write a paragraph about what they wanted, and Talon would help them reach it. We've adjusted since then. Now the app helps you pick a goal, and through small, repeatable actions, it helps you build a habit that moves you constantly forward.

I've had so many ideas in my head that just faded away. This app is built to help you make your goals a reality — not by looking at the mountain, but by looking at the road ahead. One step at a time, through small actions, Talon helps you reach the top without even thinking about the end goal.

That's why Talon was built. We're so excited to have our first version live on the App Store, and we hope you'll take the time to check it out. Any feedback is welcome — we want Talon to help you and many others actually stay true to your word and your goals.

Congrats on shipping — first iOS app is no small thing. The shift from open-ended goal input to structured habit actions is the right call. Open-ended input feels powerful in theory but puts the cognitive load back on the user, which is exactly what you're trying to remove. Constraints are a feature, not a limitation.

Good concept. Categorizing habits into four key types: Physical, Emotional, Financial, and Learning is a good philosophy behind the working of this app. I will try the app. I believe a few things on the landing page could be fixed to convey your app's messaging better. I see that you learned to vibe code and created the app from scratch. In an app's growth a lot of things are involved :
    1. Pefecting app value proposition and messaging
    2. Testing and Beta and early adopters
    3. In-app tracking
    4. Feedback system
    5. UA and marketing channels
    6. Retention Strategy
    7. Monization Growth Strategies
    8. Data collection and Analysis; etc , etc

If you want to scale your app, we can talk about collaboration. We do all the tedious tasks around growth marketing. We can start milestone-based or just free 1st month.
