It was the day of the launch for https://www.suprlance.com/ and we were ecstatic to see our product sitting comfortably in the top 5 on Product Hunt with over 240 votes on a busy Monday.
But then, out of nowhere, another product (whose name I won't mention) suddenly jumped from 200 votes to over 333, knocking us down to the 6th spot.
Disappointed but determined to secure a top 5 spot, we closely monitored the upvote patterns of this suspicious product.
Despite falling short of votes, we were still engaging with our audience, receiving numerous comments and inquiries about our product.
This paid off, as we were eventually bumped back up to the 5th spot, edging closer to our goal.
However, with just 30 minutes left, the product at 6th place began skyrocketing in upvotes, reaching almost 500 votes in a matter of minutes.
It was clear that they were gaming the system with bots, and I was livid.
I quickly flagged their product and reached out to support, but received no response.
As the clock ticked down to just 5 minutes left, I refreshed the page and saw the other product lose 150 upvotes in an instant, then drop to 330, and finally to 220.
It was intense, and in the end, we managed to secure our spot in the top 5.
The first Product Hunt launch for Suprlance was a rollercoaster ride of emotions, but we learned a lot about the platform and the importance of engaging with our audience. It was a wild ride, but one that we won't forget anytime soon.
With that being said we got over 300 registrations so far from the launch and the newsletter shout-out and got over 15 paid users & 435 USD In revenue from the launch.

Awesome man! Hah, that's wild. Guess PH was monitoring those bot clicks after you mentioned it.
Congrats on the launch - pretty solid!
