We've been building Skoolit with two founders so far — myself and Matt. We knew early that we needed a strong engineer to go from prototype to product at the pace we're targeting. We've been quietly talking to people, and today we got on a call with Andrew Krock.
The call was an hour. By the end we knew he was the right person.
Andrew has the technical range to handle what Skoolit needs: email processing pipelines, real-time extraction, mobile-first frontend, infrastructure that can scale from zero to a lot of users fast. More importantly, he thinks about the user experience, not just the code. That's rare.
We also extracted our first structured test data from the inbox simulation this week — real email records processed through our model, outputs checked manually. The extraction logic is holding up better than we expected at this stage.
And we've been doing domain research. Naming is harder than it looks. The right name has to work for parents, for press, for SEO, and has to have available domains. We have a shortlist. No announcement yet.
The team is coming together. Follow along at getskoolit.com.
