We need to hire a virtual assistant to help with growth hacking related tasks such as social media management, content marketing, customer outreach, customer service, lead generation and more.
Please comment if you have recommendations for where to look and what to pay. i.e. marketplaces, agencies or individuals.
We would prefer a native English speaker even if it costs a bit more but are open to hearing about and considering other options that have proven successful for our fellow Indie Hackers.
Any tips or secrets you can drop for finding an awesome assistant would be very much appreciated.

Upwork has been great for me, but for someone reliably dedicated to you, check out Kajae. They source international talent with Bachelors or Master's degrees and nearly flawless English. Last time I hired through them, it was roughly $1,100/month for half time and $2k for full time help.
Not to take over your post, but this sounds like something I am interested in, I'm US based, native English speaker who has been searching for some remote/virtual roles. I have experience doing content marketing, customer service is up my ally, and I also do video/podcast content creation if you are looking for something along those lines. Upwork has never disappointed. As long as your definition of an "Awesome assistant" is the diligent performance of specific concrete tasks, u'll be fine and you can get a decent one at even $5 an hour or less. However, if ur looking to outline a set of objectives you want to achieve and have the assistant navigate the specifics on their own, u'll have a tough time. In the latter case you might want freelancers specialized for those activities.
