We published our critical thinking deep-dive and it explains why most AI users are stuck

just published a deep-dive into critical thinking as an AI skill and the data tells an interesting story.

we've assessed 412 people's AI skills through conversation at aisa.to. critical thinking — specifically the ability to evaluate and verify AI output — is what separates people who score well from people who don't. it's not prompting skill, it's not tool knowledge, it's whether you have a process for checking if the AI actually got it right.

the post breaks down what high scorers do differently: aisa.to/blog/critical-thinking-dimension-deep-dive

biggest surprise from the data: the people who score highest on critical thinking aren't the most skeptical. they're the most systematic. they have actual verification routines, not just a vague sense of "does this look right."

avg score across all assessments is 52/100, and 62% of people fall below Proficient. the gap isn't where most people think it is.
